College Football Week 11: Picking a few other games around the country this weekend

For the degenerate in all of us.

Jamie Rhodes-USA TODAY Sports

This week I will be continuing my pick'em series. Included is a prediction for each Pac-12 game against the spread and an extra lock of the week. Feel free to post your own picks in the comments.

Record to Date: 11-5

ARIZONA STATE -2.5 vs Notre Dame

This has been billed as one of the top games of the week and I see it living up to the hype. While it should be tight the entire way, you've got to think a late Zane Gonzalez field goal or big touchdown pass from Taylor Kelly wins it for Arizona State in front of a packed Sun Devil Stadium. This team has found ways all season long to win close games, so as long as the Sun Devils stay within striking distance, the magical season should continue. And it shouldn't be that hard to do so, considering teams like Purdue, Syracuse, and Navy have all hung with Notre Dame for four quarters.

OREGON STATE -7.5 vs Washington State

This one seems to set up for a perfect "get right" game for Oregon State. Losers of their last three, the Beavers get a banged up Washington State team at home. They should be able to win by at least more than a touchdown as they make a last ditch effort to qualify for a bowl game.

WASHINGTON + 6.5 vs UCLA

Ah, the battle for the Sun Bowl. UCLA finds itself at a surprising No. 18 in the latest College Football Playoff rankings despite a 7-2 record that includes a two-point win against California and three-point victory against Colorado. On the other side is 6-3 Washington, a team that is still lacking a signature victory. I think it gets one this Saturday. The Husky defense is due for a big performance, and the Bruins haven't faced this talented of a defensive unit since the first week of October against Utah. Give me Washington by a field goal.

ARIZONA -17 vs Colorado

Colorado has only played three road games this season, and the results have been mixed. It won at Massachusetts, competed well in Berkeley against California, and then was blown out at USC. I see this one playing out similar to the one against the Trojans. Give me Arizona, something like 38-17.

UTAH + 8 vs Oregon

Looking to go five for five on home teams this week. We get a tremendous in style game with this matchup, and while I think Oregon escapes with a win, the Utes should be able to keep it within a touchdown.

Bonus Pick (Lock of the Week, Worth Double)

LOUISVILLE -3 at Boston College

I like Louisville a lot to cover in this one. It led No. 2 Florida State for three quarters last week, and its other two losses have come by a combined eight points. Boston College is due for a letdown after a pair of road wins. The Eagles have enough talent to keep it close, but in the end I think it's more likely we see the team that lost to Colorado State earlier in the year show up.
