Pac-12 Basketball Power Rankings: Arizona State rises

See where Arizona State falls in this week's Pac-12 power rankings.

Rick Scuteri-USA TODAY Sports

Parity continues to reign supreme in the Pac-12, as six teams are now over .500 in the conference. Two teams have established themselves as the best in the conference with a revolving door behind them at No. 3. See who rose and fell in this week's power rankings.

1. Arizona Wildcats (23-1, 10-1) Last Week: 1

Life without Brandon Ashley began with a sweep of the Oregon schools last week in Tucson, although it was not easy. Arizona trailed Oregon at halftime and beat the Ducks by just two points. Arizona travels to Tempe on Friday to face in-state rival Arizona State.

2. UCLA Bruins (18-5, 7-3) Last Week: 2

UCLA got its second victory over USC this season, beating the Trojans 83-73 last Saturday. UCLA has four players that average double figures and seems to be one of two Pac-12 teams locked into a NCAA tournament berth.

3. Arizona State Sun Devils (18-6, 7-4) Last Week: 5

Although it wasn't pretty, the Sun Devils moved into a tie for third place in the Pac-12 with a sweep of the Oregon schools. The Sun Devils have won five of their last six games since their loss to Arizona in January.

4. Colorado Buffaloes (18-6, 7-4) Last Week: 6

Most left Colorado for dead after the loss of Spencer Dinwiddie but the Buffaloes have won three straight games including a dominating 91-65 win over Washington last Sunday. Colorado's matchup against UCLA this Thursday could help decide who is No. 2 in next week's power rankings.

5. Stanford Cardinal (15-7, 6-4) Last Week: 4

Stanford's drop does not reflect what the Cardinal did last week, but rather how impressive teams behind them were. The Cardinal won a key road game against Cal and Stanford has won three of its last four games.

6. California Golden Bears (15-8, 6-4) Last Week: 3

California continues to be a hard team to figure out in the Pac-12. Fresh off an upset over Arizona, the Golden Bears lost by 11 at home to Bay Area rival Stanford. With an RPI of 50, the Golden Bears find themselves squarely on the bubble.

7. Utah Utes (16-7, 5-6) Last Week: 9

After losing three straight by a combined 17 points to end January, Utah got a sweep of the Washington schools at home to get back on track. With an RPI of 101, Utah is on the outside of the tournament bubble, but look for Utah to play spoiler the final month of the season.

8. Oregon State (13-10, 5-6) Last Week: 8

Oregon State stays put after losing both games to the Arizona schools last week. The Beavers took the Sun Devils to overtime on Thursday and got blown out by Arizona on Sunday.

9. Washington Huskies (13-11, 5-6) Last Week: 7

The Huskies have now lost three straight games and find themselves under .500 in the conference. Washington has not finished under .500 in conference since the 2007-2008 season.

10. Oregon Ducks (15-8, 3-8) Last Week: 10

The Oregon free-fall continued against the Arizona schools, as Oregon lost both games by a combined four points. After starting 12-0, Oregon is just 3-8 and the Ducks' RPI continues to plummet.

11. USC Trojans (10-13, 1-9) Last Week: 12

Even though USC lost to UCLA by 10, the Trojans were competitive against one of the best teams in the conference.

12. Washington State Cougars (9-14, 2-9) Last Week: 11

The Cougars were swept by the Rocky Mountain schools and have lost six of their last seven games overall.
