Palmdale (Calif.) High School running back Demario Richard has made his Arizona State commitment official, signing Wednesday with the Sun Devils.
Richard, a 4-star recruit according to ESPN and Scout.com and 3-star rated recruit by Rivals.com, verbally committed on Dec. 2, his birthday, and took his official visit to Tempe on Jan. 17.
The 5-foot-10, 200-pound running back had offers from Rose Bowl champion Michigan State, 10 total Pac-12 schools and others according to his Rivals profile.
Richard made headlines last September for tweeting about then-USC head coach Lane Kiffin, tweeting "If Kiffin Leaves USC might have a shot at gettin me."
Richard was one of three verbally committed running backs in the 2014 recruiting class looking to help continue the potent Sun Devil rushing attack from last season, led by then-senior Marion Grice (996 yards, 20 total touchdowns ) and junior D.J. Foster (501 yards, six touchdowns).
