Arizona State has focused on recruiting in Arizona, California and Texas during the 2014 recruiting cycle, but on National Signing Day, the Sun Devils are pleased to pull in one of the top recruits from the state of Oregon in Connor Humphreys.

Humphreys is considered a 4-star defensive end by Rivals and the No. 1 overall recruit in the state of Oregon while Scout figures Humphreys to be a 3-star defensive tackle prospect.
Either way, Humphreys is a big pickup for the Sun Devils as they look to address a depth issue along the defensive line with so many players graduating and moving on.
Humphreys hails from Central Catholic High School in Oregon where he helped lead the Rams to a perfect 14-0 record in 2013. Over his past two varsity seasons, Humphreys registered a combined 11.0 sacks, 18.0 tackles for loss, and 117 total tackles, according to Maxpreps.
At 6-foot-3 and 257 pounds, Humphreys will have to add weight to compete for playing time on the Sun Devils' defensive line, but he showed consistent flashes of ability throughout his high school career.
Humphreys' Rivals profile lists offers from Arizona, Cal, UCLA and USC among other schools, but the big man could be playing with a chip on his shoulder throughout his college career after being passed over for a scholarship offer by the Oregon Ducks.
