USA TODAY Sports

As first reported by Asudevils.com, Eric Musselman will resign as ASU associate head coach to pursue what will likely be other head coaching opportunities.

Musselman, who was hired in 2012 alongside Larry Greer, got promoted to associate head coach in 2013. He came to ASU with NBA experience which included head coach of the Golden State Warriors from 2002-04 and the Sacramento Kings from 2006-07.

The Asudevils.com report also named Barret Peery formerly of Indian Hills Community College as his replacement. Peery's credentials include three years as an assistant at the University of Utah and three as head coach at the College of Southern Idaho according to the report.

Peery has a 178-30 overall record as a head coach and is known for his up-tempo style of play. His 2012-13 Indian Hills team averaged 97.9 points per game and scored over 100 points 14 times.

Guard Roosevelt Scott, who played at Indian Hills, is part of the 2014-15 ASU basketball recruiting class. This is the second assistant to leave in as many years under Herb Sendek. Dedrique Taylor exited the program last year to take the head coaching position at Cal State Fullerton.
