The renovation of Sun Devil Stadium has begun. The first thing on the to-do list was to tear down sections of the upper deck seating area above the north end zone. Here is a look at the progress so far as told through tweets from the media and people in and around the stadium.
The sections that are currently being removed are sections 220-228. It will reduce the capacity of the stadium to 66,000.There are 348 season ticket holders in these sections that the ASU athletics program has promised to move to new locations at a discounted price for next season.

Arizona State will put a total of $210 million into the full renovation project and the football team plans to continue to play its games inside Sun Devil Stadium throughout the renovation. For more information and photos of the final renderings, the ASU athletics website is a good source.
