The arrival of defensive tackle Dalvon Stuckey from Pearl River Community College was highly anticipated. He had a lot of hype surrounding his potential, now it's all for naught because he won't enroll at Arizona State due to academics according to his social media.
Life goes on...I'm gone ball up here fareal..— 4star_athlete (@DalvonStuckey) July 21, 2014
Stuckey was ranked the No. 12 JUCO recruit in the country according to Rivals when he signed with the Sun Devils in February. He had originally committed to Miami, then decommitted and gave his word to Auburn before he backed out of that as well and finally committed to the Sun Devils. Stuckey will now enroll at the University of West Georgia.
He was ranked the No. 8 JUCO recruit in the country by ESPN and No.2 at his position. He joins Darrius Caldwell as the second JUCO recruit in the 2014 Arizona State recruiting class to not enroll because of academics.
Stuckey is a huge loss for the program, he was supposed to give the Sun Devils some much needed help on the defensive line and potentially replace the production provided by Will Sutton. We'll have more analysis soon, but for now, here's what the defensive line situation looked like after signing day.
