The maroon and gold may have found their next power forward or center in 6-foot-11 big man Lucas Siewert, who committed to the Sun Devils Sunday.

Siewert is a member of the class of 2016 and weighs in at 220 pounds. ASU also continues its recent trend of snatching up west coast ballers. He's from Los Angeles, California and attends Cathedral high school. He was also fielding offers from Boston College, Cal, Texas Tech, Tulsa and Utah State according to Rivals. Siewert is a native of Brazil. Most recently, Ruslan Pateev and Jordan Bachynski were both international big men whom head coach Herb Sendek has taken under his wing.
Rivals gives Siewert a top-100 four-star rating, ESPN slots him as a three-star and the No. 24 recruit in the state of California. The 2016 class is shaping up well for the basketball program with fellow four-star recruit Brendan Bailey committing back in November. The only commit for 2017 is local stud Markus Howard.
