Arizona State goalie Robert Levin suffered an ankle injury during the early minutes against UConn this past weekend, Coach Greg Powers told the media on Wednesday. Levin left the game against the Huskies after allowing one goal on four shots. He did not dress for the finale of the road trip against Sacred Heart.
Powers is slated to get an MRI Wednesday and the team will know more on Thursday. It is unclear which ankle is injured and Levin was held out of practice on Wednesday. In his place, the Sun Devils have Ryland Pashovitz and David Jacobson to turn to for this weekend.
Pashovitz is coming off of two starts on the Connecticut road trip, including a 52 save performance against Quinnipiac. Jacobson got his first batch of NCAA action in that game against UConn, making 28 saves on 29 shots. Powers said that Jacobson will get at least one start this weekend as the Sun Devils take on Southern New Hampshire at Oceanside Arena.
The Sun Devils will look to rebound off of a 1-4 road trip, coming back to Tempe to play in front of their home fans beginning on Friday.
