Dougladson Subtyl, a four-star outside linebacker JUCO prospect rated by Scout.com, committed to the Arizona State Sun Devils Wednesday night.
Subtyl announced his decision in a tweet with a photo of his offer letter from ASU:

Subtyl, who is currently playing in his second year with Victor Valley Junior College in Victorville, California, stands at 6-foot-3, 235 pounds and will have two years of eligibility. He's known for his pass rushing and was recruited to play ASU's signature defensive end/linebacker hybrid position at Devilbacker, according to Chris Karpman of SunDevilSource.com.
Here are his freshman highlights at Victor Valley:
Subtyl is the first recruit known to have committed to the Sun Devils since wide receiver Kyle Williams gave a verbal pledge back on Aug. 31. It's been a relatively quiet recruiting class for Arizona State, so far, as Subtyl's pledge gives ASU just 12 total commitments for 2016 midway into the regular season.
With the Sun Devils on a bye week, ASU coaches have planned on using some of their off-time toward recruiting. The team has cancelled practices on Friday and Saturday, and coach Todd Graham is expected to visit several local Arizona high schools Friday via a helicopter.
