Defensive back Jordan Simone was named a semifinalist for the Jim Thorpe Award on Monday, but that is not all that happened. We break it all down in this edition of the Daily Devil Dish.

Monday morning started with some good news as defensive back Jordan Simone was named a semifinalist for the Jim Thorpe Award. The award goes to the most outstanding DB in the country at the conclusion of the regular season. Simone has rebounded nicely after a rough start to 2015, recording 18 tackles and two sacks in his last couple of games.

Later on Monday we learned that November 7th's game at Washington State would kickoff at 1:30 p.m. (MST). The pivotal conference battle will be televised by Fox Sports 1.

ASU Golf

Arizona State senior Jon Rahm was named GolfWeek's Player of the Week on Monday after taking home his first individual title of the season last weekend. Rahm finished first at the Tavistock Invitational in Windemere, Florida, using an eagle on the 13th hole of his final round to propel him to victory. He won the tournament by two shots over fellow Sun Devil Max Rottluff.

ASU Volleyball

The maroon and gold dropped one spot in this week's AVCA rankings despite beating Utah and Colorado this week. They now sit at No. 14 heading into the second half of Pac-12 play. Up next for the team is a trip to the Bay Area, where they will face Stanford and California this Wednesday and Thursday.

A day of honors for Arizona State athletes continued Monday when it was announced that Blake Stauffer was invited to the NWCA All-Star Classic on November 1. The senior will face Lehigh's Nate Brown in the ESPNU-televised event.
