The Arizona State Sun Devils have added a commitment for their 2017 recruiting class in defensive back Jermani Brown. Rivals national recruiting analyst Adam Gorney broke the news Wednesday afternoon via Twitter.

Brown confirmed the news via his personal Twitter minutes later.

Standing 5-foot-11 and weighing in at 175 pounds, Brown hails from Calabasas, California. He plays both wide receiver and cornerback for Calabasas High School.

Brown is rated a 4-star prospect by Rivals, ESPN and 247 Sports. Rivals ranks him as the nation's No. 14 cornerback and the 115th best player in the nation. ESPN sees Brown as the No. 25 athlete in the country and the 203rd overall player.

According to 247 Sports, Brown unofficially visited ASU and was offered a scholarship by the Sun Devils on March 22. On March 6, he attended a Texas A&M Junior Day and on March 23 he unofficially visited the Arizona Wildcats.

According to Rivals, Brown has offers from Boise State, Colorado State, Fresno State, Michigan State, Syracuse, Utah and Wisconsin on top of his offer from ASU.

The Sun Devils now have three verbal commits in their 2017 recruiting class as Brown joins linebacker Loren Mondy and defensive back Alex Perry (younger brother of ASU safety Armond Perry).

Below are sophomore highlights of Brown.
