Our weekly roundup of all the Pac-12 action.
Arizona Wildcats (6-5, 3-5 in Pac-12)
Peaking?
The Wildcats needed two overtime periods, but they were able to defeat the No. 10 team in the nation. After turning in some strong performances over recent weeks, are the Wildcats peaking at just the right time as a rivalry match with the Sun Devils looms ahead?
Arizona State Sun Devils (5-5, 3-4)
Grit.
The Sun Devils were down by 17 points before scoring 27 unanswered to overcome Washington. It's been an up-and-down season for ASU, but this is just the type of momentum-boosting win they need entering their matchup with rival Arizona.
California Golden Bears (6-4, 3-4)
Wake up!
The Golden Bears cruised to a 30-point win over Oregon State, but a slow start didn't allow fans' nerves to be eased until the second half. Despite their recent four-game losing streak, Cal has a chance to turn in an eight-win campaign for the season should they win out, but they'll need to play well as a whole in order to do so.
Colorado Buffaloes (4-7, 1-6)
Another week...
Once again, the Buffaloes had a chance to upset a conference foe, but were able to close out the opposition in the second half. Colorado hasn't been horrifically bad, but there's certainly some improvements that will and must be made for this squad to be truly competitive in the Pac-12.
No. 23 Oregon Ducks (7-3, 5-2)
Spoilers.
The Ducks upended Stanford, and with the victory, have re-established themselves as being one of the top, if not the top team in the conference. They may not find themselves in the Pac-12 championship, but the last few weeks have been exemplary of what we expected out of this team throughout the entire season.
Oregon State Beavers (2-8, 0-7)
At least they're competing.
It took the Golden Bears over 30 minutes before really pulling away from the Beavers on Saturday. Despite having a tough time earning another mark in the win column, at least the Beavers are showing some competitive edge and fight.
No. 15 Stanford Cardinal (8-2, 7-1)
Out.
With Stanford's loss, any shot of the Pac-12 being represented in the College Football Playoff was dismissed on Saturday. Still, the Pac-12 Championship remains a strong possibility, and a Rose Bowl berth wouldn't be too bad of a consolation prize for this group.
UCLA Bruins (7-3, 4-3)
Ouch.
The Bruins suffered a heart-breaking defeat with three seconds left at the hands of Washington State to send them to 7-3. UCLA hasn't been as dominant a force as it was in the 2014 season, and before they close the year out with games against Utah and USC, the Bruins will need to work out their long-known issues or they'll be left for dry.
No. 22 USC Trojans (7-3, 5-2)
Phew.
The Trojans nearly dropped another non-Saturday game before outscoring Colorado 21-7 in the second half last Friday. USC is in control of its destiny, as far as reaching the Pac-12 title game is concerned. They'll need to survive next week's bout with Oregon before closing out the year against UCLA, but if this team can focus, the group is capable of finishing the year unscathed.
No. 18 Utah Utes (8-2, 5-2)
Down, they go.
Utah has looked vulnerable over the past few weeks, so despite Arizona being considered an inferior opponent, it's not too surprising to see them finally go down. The Utes still have the opportunity to close the regular season with 10 wins, and this loss may be the kickstarting jolt they needed to ensure they do so.
Washington Huskies (4-6, 2-5)
Where'd it go?
The Huskies had a 17-point lead at one point against ASU. Missed opportunities to put the game away early on ended up catching up with Washington, as they put on a display demonstrating how their youth has gotten in the way of their talent on multiple occasions during the year.
No. 24 Washington State Cougars (7-3, 5-2)
Winning is a great thing.
The Cougars have now notched win No. 7 on the season; that's the most they've tallied since 2003 when the team finished 10-3. For a program that has suffered through one-win and two-win seasons in recent years, their last-second win over UCLA reminds us that this is a legitimate contender in the conference moving forward.
