The Arizona State Sun Devils spent their Black Friday in Clarkson, N.Y., opening up a two game series against the Clarkson Golden Knights.
Despite having a 2-1 lead heading into the second period, the Sun Devils still fell to the Golden Knights 3-2.
Ryan Belonger opened the scoring for Arizona State, netting on off a one-timer after a behind the net feed from Liam Norris. Jack Rowe added the second goal for the Sun Devils.
Sam Vigneault lead the way for the Golden Knights, putting in a two goal effort along with an assist. They also got two points each from Christian Powers and A.J. Fossen.
For the seventh straight game, Ryland Pashovitz was given net duties, and he made 36 stops. A sliver lining from this one was that ASU only committed one penalty; something they have been working hard to correct.
The 5-7 Sun Devils hope to avenge this loss tonight at 5:00 PM, as they look to split this road series.
