Pac-12 Football: Week 10 Power Rankings

We take a look at how the Pac-12 is shaping up entering Week 10.

Matt Kartozian-USA TODAY Sports

The North was on the brink of becoming as chaotic as we've come to know the South to be. Meanwhile, the leaders of the South continue to hold form as they jostle for the top spot.

Let's take a look at how the conference shapes up as House of Sparky's Kaelen Jones and Connor Pelton unveil their weekly Pac-12 power rankings.

The North

Rank Jones' Picks Pelton's Picks
1. Stanford Stanford
2. Washington State Oregon (+1)
3. Oregon (+1) Washington State (-1)
4. California (-1) California
5. Washington Washington
6. Oregon State Oregon State

Breakdown

Jones' Picks

Things could've gotten really interesting here had Washington State pulled off the upset over Stanford. With the Cardinal holding on, no changes at the top, however with Cal dropping another game and Oregon outlasting another opponent, they switch positions in the middle.

Pelton's Picks

It wasn't easy, but Stanford ended up pulling out a huge win in Pullman late on Halloween night to solidify their spot on top of the North. Oregon, despite some pretty serious problems at every position but quarterback, has risen to No. 2 after beating Arizona State on the road. The Ducks seem to be getting their mojo back and will have a chance to really shake up the divisional race in two weeks when they travel to Stanford.

The South

Rank Jones' Picks Pelton's Picks
1. USC USC (+1)
2. UCLA UCLA (-1)
3. Utah Utah
4. Arizona State Arizona State
5. Colorado (+1) Colorado (+1)
6. Arizona (-1) Arizona (-1)

Breakdown

Jones' Picks

Colorado's valiant effort and near win over the Bruins earns them a jump up one spot, as Arizona's injuries and poor form resulted in them getting smacked by Washington. USC seems to be the best in the conference at the moment, and remain the top team in my rankings this week.

Pelton's Picks

The Bruins may have won this week, but I'm still dropping them from the top spot after they were outplayed at home by Colorado. USC is the new No. 1, but star receiver Juju Smith-Schuster had surgery on his right hand on Monday and his return date is unknown.
