Pac-12 Football: Championship Week Power Rankings

How did the 12 programs stack up in the final regular season installment of conference power rankings.

Jennifer Buchanan-USA TODAY Sports

To conclude the regular season, the Pac-12 has us rearranging practically the entire conference, as only three teams competed with conference championship implications on the line, while others battled for pride both in rivalries or for momentum to carry into the bowl season.

We've finally finished a regular season that has simply been nothing short of exciting, excruciating and fun. Below, we take a look at the current Pac-12 power rankings according to House of Sparky's Kaelen Jones and Connor Pelton.

The North

Rank Jones' Picks Pelton's Picks
1. Stanford (+1) Stanford (+1)
2. Oregon (-1) Oregon (-1)
3. California (+1) California (+1)
4. Washington (+1) Washington (+1)
5. Washington State (-2) Washington State (-2)
6. Oregon State Oregon State

Breakdown

Jones' Picks

It's Stanford who closes the year in the top spot here with a win over Notre Dame and Oregon's lackadaisical win in the Civil War. California's come-from-behind win and Washington's demolition of Washington State has them each a spot up, as (somewhat unfairly) the Cougars topple all the way down to No. 5 without quarterback Luke Falk under center last weekend.

Pelton's Picks

Stanford reclaims the top spot here after getting a huge win over Notre Dame. Oregon didn't exactly look stellar on Friday against Oregon State, which is understandable since the Ducks really didn't have anything to play for. California moved into the upper half of the division with Washington State's loss in the Apple Cup.

The South

Rank Jones' Picks Pelton's Picks
1. USC (+1) USC (+1)
2. UCLA (-1) UCLA (-1)
3. Utah (+1) Utah (+1)
4. Arizona State (-1) Arizona State (-1)
5. Arizona Arizona
6. Colorado Colorado

Breakdown

Jones' Picks

Oh, hey. Look, USC and UCLA flipped again, and luckily it was the decisive change. Meanwhile, ASU's giveaway of a loss drops them a spot, as Utah takes their place after managing to beat Colorado without Devontae Booker.

Pelton's Picks

Once again, we have a change at the top in the South. USC put the debate to rest with its dominating performance on Saturday against UCLA, sending itself to the Pac-12 Championship game in the process.
