The Arizona State Sun Devils have picked up a commitment from 16-year-old defenseman Jarrod Gourley. The Calgary native just recently helped Team Canada win the U17 World Championships.

99 D Jarrod Gourley (@BrooksBandits) commits to Arizona State. 6'1, 195 D was a 3rd rd WHL pick, recently won U17 Worlds with Canada White.

Gourley is currently playing for the Brooks Bandits in the Albert Junior Hockey League, where he has logged four points in 20 games.
The past two seasons, Gourley played for the CBHA Rangers in the Alberta Minor Midget AAA Hockey League, compiling 61 total points in 61 games played.
The 6-foot-1, 195-pound defenseman is draft eligible in 2017 and all indications are he will be selected in the NHL Draft that year. He is expected to arrive in Tempe in 2018.

The Sun Devils are currently 5-10 in their first season as an NCAA hockey member and travel to Omaha this weekend to face Nebraska-Omaha (12-3-1).
