Impressions from analysts and writers:
Strong clearly made himself money by running a 4.44, which is fantastic for his size and frame. The buzz coming in was that he didn't operate well in space and didn't have the breakaway speed necessary for the NFL. He certainly proved that notion wrong. The safety class in this year's draft is fairly weak, and Randall's 40 time was the second highest among the safeties so he probably helped his positioning as well.
Best safety "position" workouts: 1. Damarious Randall/ASU 2. Landon Collins/Ala 3. Clayton Geathers/UCF 4. Durell Eskridge/Syr

ASU WR Jaelen Strong making 1st Rd case. 42" VJ is outstanding. 4.44 40 (unofficial) is surprising. He showed elite ball skill on 2014 tape

Jaelen Strong’s 42" vertical is third best of the last 10 years at the Combine for wideouts.
