According to Sports Illustrated senior writer Thayer Evans, former ASU wide receiver and graduate assistant Aaron Pflugrad is set to become the next wide receivers coach at Northern Arizona Univeristy. This report was confirmed by Doug Haller of AZ Central on Tuesday morning.

The name Pflugrad carries weight around the ASU football program. Aaron's father Robin Pflugrad was the wide receivers coach for the Sun Devils from 1995-2000 and helped lead the maroon and gold to the 1996 Rose Bowl under Bruce Snyder.
Aaron originally went to Oregon before transferring to ASU after the 2009 season. In his two years as a Sun Devil, Pflugrad caught 73 passes for 994 yards and seven touchdowns. "Pflu" spent a short time with the Philadelphia Eagles but was released during training camp. He has now spent the last three seasons under Todd Graham focusing on the wide receivers.
Pflugrad joins another former ASU grad assistant T.J. Rushing who coaches the corners at NAU. Lumberjacks head coach Jerome Souers was given a four-year contract extension through 2018 before last season. NAU was 7-5 (5-3) in 2014. The next ASU game with NAU is Sept. 3, 2016.
I did a Q+A with Aaron Pflugrad during fall camp last season which you can find here. Also worth reading is Tyler Lockman's profile on Pflugrad for Fox Sports Arizona last spring.
