ASU is all about staying true to ASU: local high school players moving on to the maroon and gold state school. Cade Cote stayed true and officially became a Sun Devil Wednesday.
Cotes is a consensus 3-star recruit and the 10th-ranked offensive guard in Arizona by 247Sports, coming from Williams Field High School in Gilbert. He comes in at No. 49 nationally by 247Sports. He chose ASU over among other schools, Pac-12 rivals Oregon, Arizona and Oregon State. He stands 6-foot-4 and weighs 275 pounds and will compete for a spot on the offensive line. Rivals ranks Cote as the No. 7 player in Arizona and No. 73 at his position nationally.
Cote committed back over the summer, over seven months ago via Twitter. He was one of the original recruits of the class, trailing only Bryce Perkins and Raymond Epps as far as quickness in committing among Arizona players.
