It was an eventful season for ASU hockey and we take a look at the year's major events on and off the ice.

It was certainly an eventful season for ASU hockey, from a surprising transfer to a shocking announcement to a season sweep to a stunning finale. We list the biggest events from the Sun Devils' season, and in case you felt like reliving any of the moments, we linked to our story about it.

Aug. 22– Northeastern forward Ryan Belonger announces his transfer to ASU

Sept. 19– ASU beats Niagara 8-3 on opening night

Sept. 24– It is later learned this is the day sophomore forward Ryan Ostertag suffers season-ending injury at practice

Oct. 11– ASU beats Arizona 3-0 on the night the Sun Devils raise the national championship banner

Oct. 16– ASU loses for the first time, 7-4 at Central Oklahoma

Nov. 18– ASU announces it will elevate its hockey team to NCAA Division I in 2015

Dec. 11– Cody Gylling announces commitment to ASU, becomes first NCAA commit

Dec. 16– American International forward David Norris, brother of Liam, announces transfer to ASU

Jan. 8– ASU returns for second half with 5-3 loss to Oklahoma

Jan. 10– ASU sweeps Central Oklahoma to win season series 2-1

Jan. 31– ASU beats Arizona 7-2 on Senior Night

Feb. 12– Team USA, with six Sun Devils, places seventh at World University Games in Granada, Spain

Feb. 18– ASU awarded top seed at national tournament for second year in a row

Feb. 21– ASU completes season sweep of Arizona for fourth time in five years

Feb. 27– ASU announces goaltender Robert Levin has a torn ACL and will miss the national tournament

March 6– ASU wins opening round matchup in national tournament 6-1 over Colorado

March 8– ASU wins quarterfinal game 5-2 over Lindenwood

March 9– ASU's season ends with a national tournament semifinal loss to Stony Brook 2-1
