The wait is over. The Pac-12 website leaked Arizona State hockey's schedule for its first Division I season late Monday night.
ASU will open its Division I era against rival Arizona on Saturday Oct. 3 at Gila River Arena. It will then make a return trip to Tucson on Feb. 19 to play at Tucson Convention Center.
ASU will play its first Division I game that next weekend against Alaska-Anchorage as part of a tournament. It will travel to UConnn on Oct. 16 to be the Huskies' home opener.
Among the big name's on ASU's schedule include a two-game set against Wisconsin on Oct. 30-31, Lake Superior State Nov. 13-14 and Nebraska-Omaha Dec. 19-20. Once the new year starts, ASU will play St. Cloud State on New Year's Day, then see Yale and Bemidji State on consecutive weekends.
UMass-Lowell will close out January, and the season ends with two home games against the US National U18 Team.
ASU's only Division I home games are Jan. 8-9 against Yale. In total, ASU will play 23 Division I games, 21 of which will be on the road.
ASU will only play three ACHA teams: Ohio, Liberty and Arizona. The Sun Devils will play host to the University of Alberta, a member of the CIS, the Canadian equivalent of the NCAA.
