ASU Football: Tim White commits to the Sun Devils

ASU picked up another recruit Wednesday

Mark J. Rebilas-USA TODAY Sports

ASU came away from National Signing Day a little short sided in terms of wide receivers. Wednesday that got a little better when Tim White committed to the Sun Devils as a member of the class of 2015 from College of the Canyons. Chris Karpman of ASUdevils.com was first with the news on Twitter.

Although unranked by Rivals and Scout, he had 55 catches for 667 yards and six touchdowns in eight games for College of the Canyons last season. He originally graduated from Hart High School and he'll have two years to play two seasons at ASU. Standing 5-foot-11 and 190 pounds while running a reported 4.40 forty-yard dash according to Rivals, White sounds like the kind of player who could compete to take over Cameron Smith's spot left vacant by injury.

If nothing else, he provides some wide receiver depth ASU needed especially after losing Smith to injury.
