The dominos continue to fall in light of Herb Sendek's firing. First, Markus Howard took back his verbal commitment last month prior to Sendek's departure. Following Sendek's firing, ASU's 2016 verbal commitments, Lucas Siewert and Brendan Bailey both decommitted for the Sun Devils.
Thursday morning the Sun Devils lost their lone high school pledge of the class of 2015, as Seattle combo guard Dominic Green has asked for his scholarship release.
I'm here to announce that I have officially requested to be released from my National Letter of Intent at Arizona State University
— Dominic Green (@Mr_Green_25) April 16, 2015.
Things are different for Green, as he has signed his National Letter of Intent. Howard, Siewert and Bailey decommitted without any consequence, because their commitment was strictly verbal, much like football verbal commitments.
However, Green signed his National Letter of Intent last November during the early signing period. Because of that, Green will have to be granted his scholarship release by ASU.
Chris Karpman of SunDevilSource is reporting that the Sun Devils released Green from his scholarship.
ASU dropped Dominic Green, not the other way around. Just so that is clear.

Green committed to ASU back in August when Sendek offered him a scholarship after watching him play on the AAU circuit. Green is known as a shooting guard with a good jump shot that really lit up the scoreboard in high school.
This opens up a scholarship in the class of 2015 for Bobby Hurley and the new staff to fill in the coming months.
