Arizona State hasn't had much recent success against Creighton in basketball, but that didn't stop Bobby Hurley and his new staff from scheduling a home-and-home series with the Blue Jays according to Jon Rothstein of CBSsports.com
Arizona St + Creighton will begin a home + home series starting next year in Omaha, source told @CBSSports. Story: http://t.co/DWg1k1Rmmw

Rothstein states the Sun Devils will travel to Omaha next season for a Dec. 2 date with Creighton and the Blue Jays will come to Tempe in 2016-17. This Creighton team looks a lot different than the one ASU faced in 2012 and again in 2013, both in tournament play. ASU and Creighton played on Nov. 24, 2012 at Orleans Arena in Las Vegas. The Blue Jays were the No. 14 team in the country at that point led by Doug McDermott who had 29 points and 9 rebounds. Jahii Carson had 30 points for the Sun Devils and Carrick Felix added 17 that night but it wasn't enough for ASU in an 87-73 loss.
The 2013 game in the Wooden Legacy wasn't much better for the Sun Devils, who lost 88-60. McDermott had 27 points and Devin Brooks added 23. Jahii Carson had 15 points for ASU.
Luckily for the maroon and gold, McDermott has moved on to the NBA and the Blue Jays aren't nearly as powerful as they once were. Creighton is still a nice road game on the Sun Devils out-of-conference slate and should prove to be a decent test for ASU and potentially raise their RPI with a victory.
