ASU lost its first recruit of its 2016 recruiting class Wednesday. Hunter Kampmoyer decided to decommit from the Sun Devil football program and reopen his recruitment. He made the announcement on his Twitter account.
I have decommited from Arizona State. I need time to focus on school and football.

Kampmoyer, from Bishop Union High School in Bishop, California is a three-star recruit and No. 97 in the state of California according to Rivals. His recruitment has only picked up since he committed to the Sun Devils. He received offers from UCLA, Oregon State, Washington State and Cal while he was under verbal agreement with ASU.
He was projected as a tight end or three-back for the Sun Devils. Offensive lineman Marshal Nathe from Peoria, Arizona, who committed just four days after Kampmoyer, is now the only ASU commit in the class of 2016.
