There is little doubt who the top ASU football product currently playing in the NFL is. After wrecking havoc in the Valley at the high school level and again at ASU for three years, Terrell Suggs has had an outstanding 12-year NFL career with the Baltimore Ravens.
Suggs has been named to six Pro Bowls, in 2011 he won the NFL Defensive Player of the Year Award and he is the Ravens all-time leader in sacks. Around this time each year, NFL Network releases its list of the top 100 players in the NFL as voted on by the players themselves. Suggs has been a fixture on the list for years, and in this year's edition he checks in at No. 84.
While being named a top 100 player in the league by his peers is quite the accomplishment, Suggs actually fell 58 spots from last year's list, when he was named the 26th best player in the league. It represents the biggest year-to-year fall of any player on the list.
What is interesting about his tumble in the rankings, is that Suggs actually increased his sack total from 10 in 2014 to 12 in 2015. Suggs also finished fourth out of a possible 46 qualified 3-4 outside linebackers in Pro Football Focus' ratings.
In 2002 while playing his junior season at Arizona State, Suggs was a unanimous All-American selection. He also won the Morris Trophy, Ted Hendricks Award, Bronco Nagurski Award and the Bill Willis Trophy.
