After losing two of three games to USC to end the season, Tracy Smith issued a social media message to the NCAA selection committee. The tweet guaranteed a victory in a Regional, no matter where ASU was sent.
Send us wherever you want because we are winning the darn thing...Yes, I said it.

On Monday morning, the Sun Devils learned where they would be begin their postseason journey as the selection committee placed them as the No. 2 seed in the Fullerton Regional, hosted by Cal State Fullerton.
The Sun Devils will face No. 3 seed Clemson on Friday at 3 p.m. PT. Host Cal State Fullerton will play WCC Champion Pepperdine at 7 p.m. PT. All games can be seen on the ESPN and Regionals are double-elimination.
Just a few weeks ago, Cal State Fullerton sat at 20-19, coming off a 14-1 loss to Cal State Bakersfield. The Titans have responded by winning 14 of their final 17 games to capture the Big West Championship.
The Clemson Tigers finished with a record of 32-27 and a 16-13 mark in the ACC. They were considered a "bubble team" and my most accounts they were one of the final four teams included in the tournament. They boast three regular starters with a batting average over .300 and on the mound they are led by lefty Matthew Crownover who is 10-2 with a 1.59 ERA.
Pepperdine is a team that ASU should be familiar with as the Waves played in ASU's regional last year, advancing to Super Regionals out of the Cal Poly Regional in 2014.
Check back Tuesday for a more detailed regional preview.
