Daily Devil Notes: Markus Howard rises in 2017 recruiting rankings

Sportsbook 5Dimes sets ASU's season win total at 8.5 - Our friends over at Pacific Takes (SB Nation's Pac-12 blog) has compiled 5Dimes' list of every Pac-12 team's over/under season win total. They set ASU's at 8.5 and PT goes through each game of the schedule and predicts a win or a loss.

Football

2016 4-star WR Brad Hawkins from New Jersey released his top 10 list and ASU has made the cut along with the likes of Virginia Tech, South Carolina Syracuse, Auburn, Michigan and North Carolina.

ESPN's Pac-12 blog wrote a nice piece on how the Pac-12 South is ready to take over the North.

Basketball

Scout.com released its latest 2017 basketball national rankings yesterday and former ASU commit Markus Howard has surged into the top 30. Howard currently sits at No. 28 nationally and the seventh best point guard in the country. Howard has recently picked up offers from USC, Texas Tech and Memphis.

ASU target and Corona del Sol 2017 point guard Alex Barcello came in at No. 61 on the same list. ASU recently offered Barcello after Howard decommitted.

Soccer

The ASU women's soccer team announced its 2015 schedule yesterday. The slate features 10 home gams, including an exhibition game against China's Beijing Normal University. The Sun Devils will face 13 teams that made the NCAA Tournament last year, including five schools that were among the top 16.
