ASU Hockey commit Joey Daccord was selected in the seventh round of the 2015 NHL Draft by the Ottawa Senators. Daccord is a goaltender and hails from North Andover, Mass. He played the 2014-2015 season at Cushing Academy where is posted a 1.80 GAA and a .933 save percentage.

Daccord was rated as the No. 10 North American Goalie prospect in the 2015 NHL Draft by NHL Central Scouting. The plan is for him to play a year at the juniors level with the Sioux City Musketeers of the USHL, before coming to ASU for the 2016-2017 season (ASU's first full season at the Division I level).

Daccord's father Brian was a goaltender at Merrimack and a former consultant with the Boston Bruins. The Senators now own the rights of Daccord and cold theoretically bring him into their organization, however expect Daccord to play multiple seasons at ASU while he grows and develops physically.

Former write Justin Emerson wrote the story when Daccord committed to the Sun Devils.

SBN College Hockey has a detailed scouting report on Daccord.
