ASU Football: Defensive depth chart solidifying - With less than three weeks until the season kicks off in Houston, the situation on the defensive side of the ball is becoming more clear for Todd Graham. Their performance in Saturday's scrimmage left a lot to be desired, however, as Graham thinks the passion needs to be taken up a notch.

The Sun Devils had an open slot on next season's schedule after St. John's bailed on a previously arranged game in Las Vegas, and that vacancy has now been filled. Bobby Hurley and company will instead face Stephen F. Austin at Wells Fargo Arena on December 22.
The Lumberjacks finished last season with a record of 29-5 and almost upset fifth-seeded Utah in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament. In addition to SFA, the maroon and gold have challenging games scheduled against Belmont, NC State, Texas A&M, and Kentucky.
Arizona State will host Stephen F. Austin on 12/22, per the school. Sun Devils continue to load up non-conference slate under Bobby Hurley.

ASU Football
Redshirt freshman Jalen Harvey will be out 8-10 weeks after fracturing a collarbone in Saturday's scrimmage. That timeline means the backup wide receiver could return as early as the Colorado game on October 10.

Former Arizona State safety Keelan Johnson signed with the Seahawks yesterday. The move was one of two the team made to bolster depth for their injury-filled secondary. Johnson has spent his time in the NFL bouncing around practice squads after playing in Tempe.
'Tis the season for preseason watch lists, and the Sun Devils are well-represented on the 2016 Reese's Senior Bowl version. Nine total players from Graham's team made the list, highlighted by quarterback Mike Bercovici, wide receiver D.J. Foster, and defensive back Jordan Simone.
