The Arizona State Sun Devils will begin the 2015 season ranked 15th in the AP Preseason Top 25.
This is the highest ASU has been ranked since 2008 when the Sun Devils began the season at No. 15 as well. It also marks the first time ASU is ranked in back-to-back years since 2005-06.
ASU is the fourth-highest ranked team in the Pac-12. Oregon (seventh), USC (eighth), UCLA (13th), Stanford (21) and Arizona (22) also represent the conference. The SEC had eight teams ranked to begin the season compared to the Pac-12 having six.
The Sun Devils also rank 16th in the USA Today Coaches Poll, which was released back on July 30.
As for the schedule, ASU will play three ranked teams at home (Oregon, USC and Arizona) while only facing one on the road (UCLA). Texas A&M, the Sun Devils' first opponent on Sept. 5, did not appear in the preseason rankings.
Last year, ASU started the 2014 season at No. 19 and finished at 12th after going 10-3.
