ASU Football Opponent Primer: Oregon - After a tough trip to Salt Lake City to face Utah, Arizona State gets to host one of the top teams in the country on a Thursday night at Sun Devil Stadium. Oregon has won its last eight games against the Sun Devils, five of which have been played in Tempe.

Our friends over at CougCenter ranked the Pac-12 football teams by uniforms yesterday, and the maroon and gold were slotted in the upper half of the conference at No. 5. We have not been a stranger to uniform news recently, as the football team's new Adidas threads were revealed last week.

Head coach Todd Graham had a busy weekend, chartering a flight out of Los Angeles after media days so he could make it to his daughter's rehearsal dinner and wedding on time. Clint Anderson, a captain from one of Graham's teams at Tulsa, married his former coach's daughter on Saturday in Oklahoma. It took a bit of cramming on Graham's part to fulfill all of his media responsibilities and still make it on time, but everything appears to have went off without a hitch.

"Ranking season" is in full swing, as we are all dying for football but still a month away from actual games. The Big Lead continued with its preseason top 25 on Monday and has Arizona State coming in at No. 23.

ASU Hockey

The long-rumored Desert Hockey Classic (because nothing says hockey like the desert) is now official, with dates and times and everything. The Sun Devils drew Yale for their opening matchup.

In other hockey musings, the New Haven Register has a great feature on incoming freshman Charlie Zuccarini. The Shelton, CT native, perhaps most known for colliding with a referee in a game earlier this year, is excited to make an early impact in the team's first years as a Division I program.
