De'Chavon Hayes, D.J. Foster adjust to still-forming roles - When it was made known that Kalen Ballage was going to miss last Saturday's tilt against Texas A&M, 'Gump' Hayes saw his role in the Sun Devil offense shift. That didn't result in a strong performance from Hayes, but as Ballage's status remains cloudy, Hayes will likely need to make the transition to his new role with more success for the Sun Devils to tackle the Pac-12.

ASU Swimming head coached tabbed for Olympics - After serving as an assistant on the three previous Olympic swimming squads, Bob Bowman was tabbed for the head coaching position for Rio 2016. Bowman was hired as ASU's head coach in April to rousing approval, and his relationship with Michael Phelps led the legendary swimmer to spend his prep for next summer in Tempe.
