Robert Herrman, a 16-year-old forward, has verbally committed to ASU hockey, according to Herrman's twitter account.
Excited to officially announce my commitment to play Division 1 hockey at Arizona State University! #ForksUp #WestCoastBestCoast

Last year with New Hampton School in 37 games, he scored 15 goals to go along with 20 assists. As part of Team Royal for the USA-S16 team, Herrman played in five games scoring one goal and netting one assist to go with two penalty minutes.
Herrman is currently playing for the Anaheim Ducks junior hockey team. This is the 3rd straight verbal commitment that ASU hockey has received from California, a state that they have wanted to target as part of recruiting.
The plan for Herrman, according to a source, is for him to play two years in the USHL for a team to be determined and will come to ASU for the 2018-19 season.
Recruiting California has been a key focus for ASU hockey as they enter year one of their transition from club to Division 1.
