Graham, Sumlin hold press conference
Like the eve of a major boxing match, the AdvoCare Texas Kickoff hosted a press conference featuring ASU coach Todd Graham and Texas A&M coach Kevin Sumlin. Here are some notable quotes:
"This is great for college football and great for this state. Obviously I'm from here, and it's a great honor for me to come back here and play. We've got about 10 players from the state that are on our roster, so it's exciting for us. Even though I've lost a lot of money because I've spent a lot of money on tickets for all my family and cousins." - Graham
"The sense of urgency is always there, but you've got an opponent that's skilled, the team speed, the overall quality that Arizona State brings to the table, you don't have time, as they say, to adjust to game speed. You better get up to game speed right away." - Sumlin
"We've spent every practice with the crowd noise and that, but I've been to several A&M games when I was a high school coach and coming down and visiting. It's pretty hard to simulate how loud that's going to be. So we've done the best we can to prepare for that." - Graham
Notable tweets
The buzz around the game spilled on Twitter all day Friday as the ASU faithful slowly made its way to Houston.
Just saw my ASU brothers. Best brotherhood on the planet! Love those guys and can't wait to watch them ball tomorrow.

Pac-12 Update
The Pac-12 moved to 3-2 in Week 1 Friday after the Oregon State Beavers downed Weber State and the Washington Huskies fell to the No. 23 Boise State Broncos.
Friday's ESPN primetime special between Washington and Boise State had no shortage of #Pac12AfterDark. After trailing 13-0 at halftime, the Huskies' special teams scored points of their own. Down 16-13, Washington kicker Cameron Van Winkle missed the last-minute field goal that would have sent the game into overtime.
Could we see #Pac12AfterDark in Houston Saturday night?
