OC Chip Lindsey in talks with Southern Miss for head coaching job - The football coaching carousel never seems to stop spinning, and Arizona State has once again found itself involved in the frenzy.
Current Sun Devil (and former Southern Miss) offensive coordinator Chip Lindsey has been linked to the vacant head coaching position in Hattiesburg, a situation complicated even more by the fact that Signing Day is just a week from Wednesday.
ASU Football
Gadsden, AL product Damon Williams now has an offer from the maroon and gold to go along with offers from the likes of Mississippi and and Louisville. The running back is still a junior in high school, so he will not be signing with anyone until a year from now.
Former Sun Devils
Former Arizona State, and current Indiana Fever, point guard Briann January was named as a finalist for the 2016 U.S. Olympic team on Monday. She will attend a training camp next month conducted by the national team, which will be the final training session before the team's roster is determined.
Another former Sun Devil, James Harden, is a finalist to make the cut for the Men's team.
ASU Women's Basketball
The current Lady Sun Devils aren't doing too bad for themselves either. The latest AP poll was released yesterday and Charli Turner Thorne's team found itself slotted at No. 8. A showdown with No. 9 Oregon State awaits ASU this Sunday in Corvallis.
