ASU Football: Sun Devils battle injuries and Justin Herbert's career day in loss

Key injuries hurt the Sun Devils' chances on Saturday.

Arizona State had as many as 10 injured starters and backups in its 54-35 loss in Oregon. The Sun Devils sorely missed starting defensive backs Armand Perry and Kareem Orr, and the offensive line was hurt by Stephon McCray's injury on the second play of the game.

Oregon freshman quarterback Justin Herbert took advantage of the derailed defense, tossing for a single-game Oregon record 489 yards in addition to four touchdowns.
