The Arizona State Sun Devils had their first practice Tuesday following a disappointing loss to the USC Trojans in Los Angeles Saturday night.
Media was able to watch the team go through tackle circuits and takeaway drills at the Kajikawa Practice Fields.
Wilkins at practice
Quarterback Manny Wilkins worked through stretches this morning. His left ankle was taped.
Wilkins left ASU’s matchup at USC during the closing stages of the first half when he was sacked. He remained on the floor, then was removed from the contest. He returned to the sideline in a walking boot and on crutches.
During drills, Wilkins threw passes from his knees, along with the other quarterbacks. Brady White and Dillon Sterling-Cole worked with him.
Other Injury Updates
Linebacker Christian Sam worked on the side, and jogged during stretches.
Defensive tackle Ami Latu went through full stretches with the team, and was seen wearing a heavy brace over his left knee.
Linebacker/defensive back Tyler Whiley wore a brace on his right hand/forearm, and safety James Johnson wore a green non-contact jersey during tackling drills.
Receiver Cam Smith once again jogged through stretches, however worked through full drills.
Other Notes
The Los Angeles Rams and Houston Texans had representatives scouting at practice.
