With just two weeks remaining in regular season play, things are tightening up at the top of each division. You can see below where Kaelen Jones and I have slotted all 12 teams heading into the home stretch.
Pac-12 North
Rank | Pelton | Jones |
1. | Washington State | Washington |
2. | Washington | Washington State |
3. | Stanford | Stanford |
4. | California | California |
5. | Oregon | Oregon |
6. | Oregon State | Oregon State |
Closer Look
Amazingly, Kaelen and I only disagree on one pick throughout the entire conference this week. You don't have to look far for that contrast, as I have Washington State on top of the North while Kaelen has rival Washington in that No. 1 spot despite suffering its first loss of the season on Saturday.
The two teams will meet a week from Friday in Pullman with a likely spot in the Pac-12 Championship game on the line.
Pac-12 South
Rank | Pelton | Jones |
1. | USC | USC |
2. | Colorado | Colorado |
3. | Utah | Utah |
4. | UCLA | UCLA |
5. | Arizona State | Arizona State |
6. | Arizona | Arizona |
Closer Look
No differing opinions down here. USC is the clear top pick after upsetting the Huskies in Seattle, but Colorado and Utah are not far behind at all.
Arizona State did not drop after its loss to the Utes, in large part to the mess that rival Arizona is creating behind them.
