Last week, Arizona State commit Remy Martin helped lead Sierra Canyon High School (Calif.) to a 83-79 victory over powerhouse Oak Hill Academy (Va.) during a nationally-televised contest on ESPN2 played at New Castle High School (Ind.).
The 6-foot, four-star point guard poured in 22 points to help put an end to Oak Hill’s 56-game winning streak.
You can watch as Martin scores in a myriad of ways, making contested layups and knocking down a 3-pointer, while also adding some audacious assists, courtesy of NextUpRecruits.com:
Martin, who committed to ASU in July, is one of three members of Bobby Hurley’s 2017 signing class, which includes wing Kimani Lawrence and forward Kenny Wooten.
Alongside the three recruits, the Sun Devils will also welcome forward Romello White (suspension), center Vitaliy Shibel (injury), and Mickey Mitchell (transferring in from Ohio State) to the squad for the 2017-18 season, meaning there’s plenty of optimism to be had considering the incoming talent.
While Martin doesn’t figure to start right away with junior guards Tra Holder and Shannon Evans II likely to return for their senior season, the highlights above provide ample reason as to why Hurley wasn’t alone in pursuing the talented prospect.
