ASU Football: Christian Westerman gets most bench presses in NFL Combine, DJ Foster records fastest 20-yard shuttle

Your Sun Devils in the NFL Combine recap:

Brian Spurlock-USA TODAY Sports

Thursday

Former ASU right guard Christian Westerman recorded the most 225-pound bench press reps at the NFL Combine with 34, beating Missouri's Connor McGovern by one.

And Westerman apparently didn't even hit his potential.

As Westerman's size makes him a valued offensive line prospect, he also impressed scouts with some of his measurables:

Friday

Westerman ran an unofficial 5.15 in his first 40-yard dash attempt, then a 5.19 in his second:

Westerman's official time of 5.17 ranks 13th among offensive lineman.

Saturday

Although D.J. Foster is being looked at as both a receiver and running back, Foster participated in the combine as a receiver.

Foster ran an unofficial 4.58 in his first 40-yard dash attempt, then a 4.59 in his second. His official time of 4.57 ranks approximately 22nd among wideouts in the combine.

Foster then tied Ohio State's Braxton Miller for fastest 20-yard shuttle time, clocking in at 4.07 seconds.

Here are Foster and Westerman's full results at the combine:
