Williams originally committed to ASU on Aug. 31, 2015. He ranks as the No. 72 receiver overall according to Scout.com and is one of three receivers expected to join the Sun Devils this spring. 247 Sports ranks Williams as a 3-star prospect and the No. 63 athlete in the nation.
It's not known whether Williams would compete for playing time in his true freshman season, but could definitely be an option when ASU's receiving corps undergoes an overhaul after this upcoming season.
The Sun Devils have had prior success in recruiting from Murrieta High School, signing baseball and football player Coltin Gerhart in 2014.
This isn't the first Kyle Williams to have joined ASU. Another Kyle Williams was a prominent Sun Devils receiver from 2006-09 who is currently with the Denver Broncos.
