Turner, a running back and outfielder for Holy Cross High School in New Orleans, is rated by Scout.com as a four-star recruit. 247 Sports and Rivals as a three-star commit for his football talents, but his abilities on the pitch earned him the designation of being chosen as a Perfect Game All-American.
Turner was recruited to the football team by Mike Norvell, as many of ASU's top offensive targets were, as well as running backs coach Bo Graham. He reaffirmed his commitment when Norvell announced his departure in earlyJanuary.
During his time visiting the Sun Devils over the summer of 2015, Turner met with Coltin Gerhart, an outfielder for Smith's squad on the diamond as well as a safety who redshirted his first year in Tempe.
That's likely the situation that Turner will find himself in, with ASU returning a stacked depth chart at the running back position.
