For the past four years, Todd Graham and his staff have worked tirelessly to keep the best high school football players in the state of Arizona at home. In 2016, their efforts have begun to pay off and part of their in-state haul this year is 4-star ATH Chase Lucas.

Lucas is rated a 4-star prospect by all four major recruiting services including ESPN, where he is ranked 220th best player in the nation and 247 sports, where he is ranked as the No. 225 player in the nation.
Both recruiting services rank him as the No. 4 player in the state of Arizona and in January he participated in the U.S. Army All-American game.
The 5-foot-11, 170-pound athlete is expected to play defense for the Sun Devils, despite a prolific career for Arizona powerhouse Chandler High as a running back and wide receiver. He is expected to play safety or cornerback for ASU, however because of his size is a candidate to redshirt his freshman season.
ASU was his first offer during his sophomore year of high school and later he fielded offers from Washington, Nebraska, UCLA and Cal among others.
Below are highlights from Lucas' junior year.
