Former Arizona State Sun Devils head men's basketball coach Herb Sendek is headed to the Santa Clara Broncos, as first reported by CBSSports.com's Jon Rothstein:

Sendek spent nine seasons coaching Arizona State with a 155-133 record and just two NCAA Tournament appearances. He was fired last April and took a hiatus for the 2015-16 season.
Sendek replaces Kerry Keating at Santa Clara, which finished 11-20 and sixth in the West Coast Conference last season. The Broncos haven't reached the NCAA Tournament since 1996 when Phoenix Suns legend Steve Nash was the school's point guard.
Sendek's name was linked with Santa Clara considerably since the school fired Keating on March 7. Sendek also reportedly drew interest for open vacancies with the Stanford Cardinal and the Pittsburgh Panthers.
