While smack dab in the midst of spring practice season, the Sun Devils received welcome news when safety/linebacker Ashton Logan verbally pledged his commitment to Arizona State. The Class of 2017 prospect out of Temple High School in Texas tweeted out his commitment Thursday evening.

The Sun Devils were the first (and only) team to offer Logan, and his commitment marks the third so far from 2017 recruits to the Sun Devils, joining three-star linebacker Loren Mondy and four-star athlete Jermani Brown.
Logan is rated as a three-star recruit by Scout, having spent his high school at both safety and outside linebacker, making him an intriguing prospect for ASU's spur linebacker spot.
With the athleticism needed to perform in that versatile role, Logan could develop into a key recruit from ASU's 2017 class. Just a reminder, all commitments thus far in the process are strictly verbal and non-binding until National Signing Day in February.
