ASU Basketball: 11th-seeded Sun Devils to face Oregon State in first round of Pac-12 tournament

Arizona State will meet the Beavers on Wednesday night in Las Vegas.

While the Arizona State Sun Devils have known for some time now that they will be the 11-seed in next week's Pac-12 tournament, what wasn't known was who they would face in the opening round.

That question was answered on Saturday night, as the Oregon State Beavers topped UCLA to earn the tournament's No. 6 seed.

The Beavers will face off with Arizona State on Wednesday at 9:30 p.m. (MT) as a result, and the game will be televised by the Pac-12 Networks.

Bobby Hurley's team got their biggest win of conference play last time out against Oregon State, dominating the Beavers for an 86-68 win back on January 28 at Wells Fargo Arena.

Junior forward Obinna Oleka led the Sun Devils with 17 points in the victory.

The winner of the ASU-OSU battle on Wednesday will advance to a quarterfinal matchup with the tournament's No. 3 seed on Thursday night. That team is still to be determined, but they will be playing their first game of the tournament by virtue of finishing in the top four.
