The Arizona State Sun Devils and UTSA Roadrunners both announced Tuesday their road football matchup in San Antonio will be rescheduled to Friday, Sept. 16 — one day earlier than originally scheduled.
Per Arizona State's release, the Conference USA office requested the time change so it could accommodate the game for a national television broadcast. The game will likely be picked up by ESPN for its weekly Friday night showcase.
UTSA will be ASU's third opponent of the season and the first on the road. The Roadrunners were scheduled by the Sun Devils likely to boost ASU coach Todd Graham's recruiting reach in his home state of Texas.
This is the first-ever meeting between the two teams.
