ASU Target Thon Maker Declares for NBA Draft: Maker -- the five-star center prospect who hails from Ontario, Canada -- has announced his intentions to enter his name into the 2016 NBA Draft. Eligibility is a concern, however Josh Nacion explains the situation as such:

Maker, though 19 years old, is still in high school attending Orangeville District Secondary School in Ontario, Canada. The NBA mandates all prospects to be one year removed from high school in order to be eligible for the NBA Draft.

Some notable college basketball writers across the country have speculated that a decision regarding Maker's eligibility will come as soon as the end of the week.

ASU basketball dismisses assistant coach Brian Merritt - The Arizona Republic reported Wednesday the Sun Devils will not retain ASU's top recruiter and the man who's kept Maker interested in attending ASU.

Seth Martinez and Eder Erives tossed some strong innings too, as ASU looks ahead to facing the Washington Huskies on Friday at Phoenix Municipal Stadium.

Sun Devils in the NFL Draft

In the scouting realm, two players were recognized this week for two different reasons. Former ASU quarterback Mike Bercovici was listed by NFL.com's Lance Zierlein as one of five potential draft steals, lobbing a comparison to a Chase Daniel. Meanwhile, former ASU guard Vi Teofilo earned a SPARQ grade of 119.0, according to Zac Whitman of 3SigmaAthlete.com. His athletic profile score would be in the 91st percentile of NFL guards.
